1. Are you Joe Clueless?

Joe wants money but likes to overcomplicate things.

He tells everyone to leave him alone because he is in his lab creating the greatest thing to ever hit the internet, after all the money he has invested already - he just HAS TO. ... yet (showerless) day after day, and bill after bill piling up.... the greatest thing never comes out of that room.

What Joe has forgotten is that greatest thing was within him all along. And it doesn't require a lab, and not only is there time to shower, there is even time for a Jacuzzi (alone or with a friend). That greatest thing is Email Marketing, aka List building.

I will devise a plan for you to spend much less time, doing something you enjoy, within your time available, to teach you what the internet is really here for. Remember Joe, it's 2009, instant gratification, and everything comes easy, yes? Let's not make this more difficult than we need to.

2. Are you bob fruitcake?

Bob is everywhere. Are YOU Bob? You are determined to succeed, and have made strides, and earned a few dollars!! Yet sometimes you wonder if it's beginners luck, because you have plateued.

If you are bob, you may have collected some names, some lists, but you don't even bother to maximize and optimize them.

Most likely... you are actually scared what success will mean, the responsibility of it, so you stay safe in the zone of working ALL the time to work very little. Success does not have to be scary.

Bob, listen carefully. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA THE GOLD MINE YOU ARE SITTING ON??? Seriously bob. Close your other browsers, turn off the TV, tell the kids to leave the room and let's go over this again.

You, yes YOU, could be making "boatloads of cash" (do you know who else uses the words "boatloads of cash"? The big name Guru's do, and so I use this on purpose for you to see that the only difference between you and them, is how you choose to go from HERE)

We can increase these numbers

And most importantly, get them to press your buttons, take out their wallets, and BUY. now, and again.

If so you are a suit, and you work for suits, and it's good to say you work for this place, because it means you have a good health plan and 2 weeks vacation (and honestly you can get paid to surf the internet, but that secret is safe with me).

and job security requires your company be as impressive as a ferrari

You are witnessing one of 2 things happening:

a) Your job may be in jeapardy! Suddenly all these small newcomers (like Joe Clueless and Bob Fruitcake) are edging your big company out of it's coveted position. They are being mentored by internet mavens such as myself, and very easily stealing people away that you always thought would be loyal to you.

b) You can't rely on the strength of your company to ride out this internet storm. You actually have to turn off Facebook, roll up your sleeves, and get a little dirty. The internet is a free for all, and you are very well positioned, but you MUST act quickly before it's too late.
